Chiffon Dreams

On Saturday, I went to my aunty's son's wedding in the South East of London. It took over an hour to get there. Being from the North of London, It felt like I was in a different city as I have never ventured down that far. Anyway, the wedding was just so pretty. They had the ceremony outside on the lawn and because it was a really sunny and bright day it looked so great. Make me want to go and get married!

The dress I'm wearing was made in Nigeria by our family seamstress last year. The fabric was bought by my mum which is something she always does before we go to Nigeria for Christmas every year. She buys chiffon from Golders Green, I think its about £5 a yard and then our seamstress makes whatever we like. I wanted something 50's inspired with the right length and and she did it so well. I originally made this for boyfriend's brother's wedding but ended up making an identical one (different fabric) for my graduation which you can see  if you clicky here. I can't wait to go back for Christmas this year, already have a few things planned.
