Hawaiian Air

Another creation from my seamstress in Nigeria. I have been wanting to wear this for a long time but bad weather, a broken zip, moving woes and subsequently being too busy to fix it meant it was languishing in the back of my wardrobe. But finally, I am able to wear it.

Last Christmas, I was looking around for a few designs which I could gain some inspiration from when I saw this post on a pair and a spare. Mullet hems has been getting alot of  attention as the trend to wear amongst bloggers and I can see why as the shape is quite flattering. It always best to wear this trend with a simple, plan top and for an evening look, pair it with a chunky statement necklace.

When I first saw it on a pair and a spare, I decided I would make the skirt myself but when I eventually did that, I ruined the skirt so badly. In hindsight, the fabric was not right for this sort of skirt. So I thought I would give my seamstress to make for me. I made sure that she put pleats in the skirt to give it a fuller shape and cut the front as the exact length I wanted. I absolutely love the print so much that I also made a top which you will see on the blog soon enough.

My face was melting when i took these pictures. Its was so so hot.
