Monorange

Bag/Paul's Boutique*; Shirt/Ebay; Shorts/Zara; Sunglasses/Primark

(Fikki)

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's...bag?!?
It's pretty hard not to when it is bright orange and staring right at you, whilst you learn about some obscure childhood genetic disease. A fellow medical student had one at the start of spring this year and all I could think about was how great it would look if a similar one was mine for spring/summer.

So when we got an email from Paul's Boutique about their new image, I was instantly drawn to the Stella bag on the website. The brand are revamping their image to offer more sophisticated and "grown-up" styles so as to appeal to the more fashion aware consumer whilst still offering a few designs for die-hard old-school PB fans. Going through the new items, I have to say they have achieved just that. The new bags look more chic and luxe with many made of real leather or suede and with less obvious branding!

This Stella shopper was an In Style magazine Editor's pick...further highlighting the success of the rebrand!

I chose the Stella leather shopper in orange (see above for most obvious reason) because its perfect for this season - giant tote in neon orange with pink contrast detailing = very S/S13. Aside from the colour , the size is great for carrying around my essentials and then some. If bright orange is not your thing, they have this bag in other colours. The raw cut on the inside, which you either love or hate, I feel adds to the aesthetic of the bag. The only downside is the long strap which I would have preferred to be in leather. Luckily it is detachable and the handheld straps are large enough to put over the shoulder. The signature PB key-chain matches the brands new direction so I will definitely be leaving it attached.

Looking at all the other bags there is a lot on offer from satchels to clutches to totes all in a range of colours and diverse styles. Even though I already had an idea of what I wanted I found it very hard to choose just one.

Head over to the Paul's Boutique website if you haven't already and I can bet you'll find more than one thing you need want.

ps I apologise in advance if I go pixlr mad in upcoming posts but it's so fun!
