It's been quite hard to do anything blog wise at the moment because Fikki is away on placement and all our weekends have been completely booked up. We promise normal blogging will resume in a week. While she is away, I got my boyfriend to do a quick outfit post for me before I set off to Law school for the morning. It took a long while, he actually did not know how to hold a dslr. Shocking!
January has been a blur so far. Between moving back to Manchester and starting Law school, I have not had time for anything including blogging properly. But now, I'm settled in my a new flat and feel on top of work for school, I can do other stuff without feeling rushed. The great thing about is the new spot we have for taking pictures... my balcony!
I love wearing alot of velvet and got this shirt a few months back in the charity shop I won't stop talking about. I absolutely love the different textures of velvet and sheer. You can't really see it in the pictures but the velvet is like 3D over the sheer.

Just like Fikki, I had a lot of weddings and parties to attend while in Lagos. This outfit was for the introduction (pre wedding do) for my friend's sister. It was a very relaxing and sunny two weeks and this was probably the first time since I've been going every Christmas that I really enjoyed myself. So much that I ignored all my pre programme reading for Law school. I'm currently suffering for it.
Happy New Year! (although 11 days late). We are both back from Nigeria and already settled into back into work. While in Lagos, we have both had so much fun seeing family and friends and attending events. We both already miss it all so much. On the 24th of last month, we met up to go to an event called music meets runway. The concept is a familiar one: fashion brands present their collection while an artist plays their music. It's one which has been done around the world and is now in it's second year in Lagos. The brands showing included Shakara Couture, Nkili, Moofa and Re Bahia. Due to the poor seats we got, we were not able to take nice pictures of the show which was a shame but we had a lot of fun and the after party was even better. Nigerians definitely know how to party. To see the looks properly and I really suggest you do, looky here.
