Costal Road Trip

Jacket & Top/Primark; Skirt/Vintage; Bag/Thrifted

Apologies for my lack of posting and thanks to Lola for giving the blog bursts of life in my absence. I just finished my penultimate year at med school which has been the longest academic year of my life. The last few months were more or less a blur as i spent most of it looking down a microscope. Luckily it's now over and I can finally put up all the posts i've been hoarding. So this post should probably have been uploaded in May; hence why I was wearing leather to the beach.

The boy just got his first job as a doctor so will be moving away from Manchester to live by the coast. Whilst I don't envy his new life of grafting as a hospital bitch junior doctor, I do wish I could escape city life for a few years of fresh air. So we took a road trip to check out the town, house-hunt and most importantly run up and down the sand dunes. It made me feel quite nostalgic as the day brought back memories of my time growing up in a small English seaside town.

Endless Floral

Dress/Handmade; Sandals/Topshop

Yes, we have been quite absent on the blog for awhile. I blame life and the continuous tiredness it brings. But we are back properly with renewed vigour and tons of posts. After the sweltering heat, I was quite glad for a cooler day and wore this maxi to my boyfriend's niece's 1st birthday. This was made for me in Nigeria with fabric my mum and I bought in Shepherds Bush. I really love my unique one off pieces because I make sure that every detail on the dress fits me perfectly. It also gives me the chance to have what I would never be able to buy on the high street without having to sew it myself. This dress was inspired by the glamour and beautiful print dresses in the Tiffany Amber SS12 collection.

Blue Denim

Dress/Topshop; Shoes & Sunglasses/Primark

The sun is out and hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weekend. Wore this out for an impromptu lunch with friends in the Castlefield area. When I saw this dress in the Topshop sale, I did not have time to try it on so I left it. But when I was out, I saw two different girls wearing it and I just had to go back and get it. It was only £10 which made me very happy indeed. Love the mix of lines and it's best worn very simply on it's own. For the evening, I would wear it with a gold chain to dress it up more.

Buy anything nice in the sales?

Jacket/Diesel; Jeans & Top/Primark; Boots/Topshop via Next 2 Nowt

I feel like I am dressed like its autumn, Manchester definitely did not get the summer memo this week. Luckily, there's a bit of sun over the weekend so I have decided to have a barbeque on the balcony and enjoy what I can get.

Recently, got those shoes from Next 2 Nowt - a website I have seen lots of bloggers use. They sell high street brand clothes and shoes for a significant discount. I really wanted cut out boots but I did not want to pay over £40 for them which I knew I would not get for great quality. These shoes were £75 in Topshop but I got them for £30.  What a bargain.
