Travel | Monkeys, Caves, and a Yellowheadbaby

All Primark (cheap travel clothes) except Cami/Topshop, Bag/Clarks

Bought these "silver" anklets at the temple. Let's see how long they last before turning my skin green.

PRICELESS! - best photo of the day

My best attempt at capturing the cuteness of the yellowheadbaby

With my #yeeeeeylective buddy

After a few weeks of skin I took some time off to explore the sights of the city and high up on the list was a trip to the Batu Caves, a hindu religious site.
It was a short trip on the train north of the city and we were there. In the blistering heat, surrounded by a hoard of monkeys (they were literally everywhere - imagine the pigeons in Trafalgar Square were monkeys), we climbed the 250+ steps up to the top of the caves.
At the top, there was a great view of Kuala Lumpur, hundreds of Hindu pilgrims praying to their deities and hundreds of tourists taking photos or feeding the hundreds of monkeys....strange contrast!
Whilst at the top we spotted the cutest baby pilgrim - hence the title of the post - and spent a bit too long trying to get the perfect shot of him with my zoom lens. Slightly stalkery but the baby just was too cute!
An equally exhausting trip down the steps was followed by a quick photo op and a refreshing drink of coconut water - my new fav!
